Massive selective demolition works using diamond wire sawing at Sun Plaza Mall

Sun Plaza Mall project, located in Bucharest next to Piata Sudului, considered the use of some old reinforced concrete structures, which have been built back in 1989. In this respect the main contractor placed an order to MTA for a significant amount of diamond tools sawing works to be performed in walls with thickness up to 1.50 m, as well as coring for mechanical works with diameters between 102mm and 300mm.
The scope of works execution required special technologies and special diamond tools, mainly because of the concrete quality/hardness (B50) and the very high percentage of reinforcement. MTA specialists have managed to provide the client optimum technical & economical solutions in due time.
